Lawn Preperation (scroll >>>)
The area is first prepared by turning over existing soil adding necessary graded top soil, a dressing of fertilizer and a light bed of sharp sand to encourage deep root growth.
Meadow Turf
Lawns should be laid during either spring or late winter for this part of the country and customer aftercare is important in its success. Locally grown meadow turf is used and if the turf is laid in hot weather, they will need to be watered, preferably using a sprinkler to give a gentle watering. For the first season, watering should be carried out during hot, dry periods. Any problems should be visible by the grass losing its colour. Keep playing children and pets off the lawn for the first season, turves are transplanted plants and need time to recover their full strength. Newly laid lawns should not be mown until it starts to grow, and even then, the mower should be set high for the first couple of cuts, and then reduced over the following three or four cuts.
Landscaped Garden
With a new lawn, new path ways, fencing and removal of shrubs and trees your garden can be handed back over as a clean sheet for easier maintenance.
